These two beautiful human beings braved the crowds and the hike with me! Baylin and Aliza are members of our young adult ministry where they both serve on the welcome team.  Precious people!

I had this idea a while back, and though it turned out beautifully, it was probably the biggest adventure I have been on as a photographer! LOL!  Second to that,  was the time a mamma moose flared her nostrils, and came after my husband and I while I was taking pictures of her baby!  Anyway, I  knew that hiking up a very rugged side of a cliff would be strenuous, but I had not factored in a backpack full of heavy lenses and a camera. Hiking + heavy equipment on your back = fitness training first!!! LOL!  By the time I reached the top of the cliff I thought my heart was going to pound right out of my chest. BUT I MADE IT!

While I was on the east cliff, I sent my gorgeous subjects + my husband over to the West cliff.  When I looked over the west cliff was packed full of sight seers. I guess that makes sense, it was a Saturday afternoon and it is a beautiful spot.  That didn’t stop us!  I was very thankful for cell phones at that moment so that I could instruct my husband how to pose them for each shot and they were the perfect models.

The weather was gorgeous, their outfits were perfect, the scenery was perfect, it was a day I will never forget!  Living in central Texas we don’t have the topography that other states have (like mountains) so we make do!
